Wild Ken Hill seeks to serve its local people. Read on for what we are doing with our local communities.
Wild Ken Hill hopes to add to our local economy. The first few years of the project has already created one new job, much-part time work, and an array of new volunteering opportunities. We’ve also helped one new business – Open Sky Cycles – to get going. And we have plans for plenty more on this front.
We provide free school visits for many schools each year, helping to educate the next generation about nature and farming
We have a growing volunteer programme to help with research and monitoring, habitat creation work, and other aspects of the project
We organise open days for our local residents, providing an opportunity to learn about and see Wild Ken Hill first hand
Wild Ken Hill is also home to WILDlings which hosts outdoor adventure parties for all ages, forest school sessions, and family fun days. Visit their website for more information and bookings.
