We are very excited to be opening several new opportunities to join our team.
This ties into two extremely important aspects of the Wild Ken Hill project.
The first is our desire to make Wild Ken Hill a people-centric landscape and project. Detractors of projects like ours will claim it involves the removal of people from the landscape. Quite the opposite is true though, with our project already providing the equivalent of three new full time roles and a variety of opportunities for volunteers, students, and creatives. Indeed there is in fact is no coherent vision for nature recovery or for a sustainable food and farming system that does not have people at the front and centre of it.
Secondly, we care deeply about providing benefits to our local community. One of the best ways we can do that is by providing good quality, sustainable professional opportunities such as those below. These compliment the work we are already doing, such as providing free school visits, or access for clients of our local mental health charity.
We have three new roles below, which could all work well for passionate young people. One of the roles is a part-time role supporting our Founder Dom with Marketing, and the other two are volunteer roles which would suit people early in their careers looking to learn build experience, or those with free time and a desire to support our work.
All of the roles involve joining our awesome team and working on this special landscape and pioneering project.
Below we introduce each of the roles and provide links to the job postings where you can find out more information.
We are looking for a part-time Marketing Executive to join the team here at Wild Ken Hill, reporting directly to our Founder Dom.
This will be a really exciting role for someone. We engage with a large and fast-growing audience on the most pressing issues in nature, farming and the countryside. We are also on the cusp of being able to invest significantly in our nature-based tourism offering and grow our ability to welcome, educate, and engage people at Wild Ken Hill.
More details on the job opportunity can be found here.
We are seeking someone to assist us in monitoring our conservation grazing livestock on a part-time, voluntary basis for 6-9 months. This is a wonderful learning opportunity for an enthusiastic local person seeking to gain more experience from our team before perhaps seeking a full-time job in conservation.
Full details on this opportunity to be provided shortly – please check back soon.
We are seeking someone interested in ecology and nature to assist with individual surveying projects on a part-time, voluntary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone interested to learn more about ecological surveying, work in a special landscape, and help to prove that nature recovery works!
