The Experience

Using bat detectors, thermal imaging cameras, and moth traps, this twilight tour with an expert guide showcases how wildlife never sleeps.

With a backdrop of potential nocturnal noises: hooting Tawny Owls, spooked deer, or squealing water rails, you’ll discover what animal activity is taking place in our wildlife hotspot when we’re all indoors.

You might see small mammals scurrying and deer feeding in the rewilding fields through a thermal spotter. You might find tiny jewel-like micromoths or hawkmoths as big as your palm in the moth traps that you visit. You’ll hear the evening noises of the woodland and try out a bat detector to identify species near to hand. You’ll never see the dark in the same light again!
