Nature by Night

The Experience
Join us for a unique twilight experience that takes you into the heart of Wild Ken Hill just as the night shift – all our nocturnal wildlife – are taking over.
With an atmospheric backdrop of nocturnal noises, you’ll discover what animal activity is taking place in our wildlife hotspot when we’re usually all indoors!
You might see small mammals scurrying and deer feeding in the rewilding area, pause to listen to hooting Tawny Owls or squealing Water Rails, watch moths fluttering through torch-light and perhaps spot the dark outline of ponies gathered near a moonlit pond.
Depending on the conditions and time of year, you might have a go with a bat detector or thermal imaging scope. One thing is for sure – you’ll never see the dark in the same light again!
