The Experience
This is our Big Picture tour but moving by vehicle!
Like The Big Picture, this guided tour offers a view of the diverse seasonal activities here at Wild Ken Hill. You’ll pass through each of the areas that has made Wild Ken Hill famous: sustainable farmland awash with Brown Hares, the rewilding area with its roaming cattle, ponies, and pigs, and finally the wetlands with calling Curlew and quartering Marsh Harriers.
On the way you’ll stop and exit your safari trailer to inspect the results of rootling pigs or watch wildlife as it moves through clumps of scrub or blue skies.
The Big Picture on Wheels offers the advantage of being able to travel further across Wild Ken Hill, experiencing more of the landscape. It also may be preferable for those with lower fitness levels, and we also make this tour available for children aged between 6 and 11 (inclusive), as there is less walking.

- Tour is mostly in a vehicle, with some short walks on foot.
- Walking distance: <1 km
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tour start time.
- Tour will go ahead in almost all weathers, so please dress accordingly. Trousers, sleeve-length tops and robust shoes are required in all weathers, as the ground is uneven and the long grass can be wet or scratchy. In wet or cold weather, a warm waterproof coat and wellington boots are required. The wind can be extra cold when moving, so please dress accordingly.
